Service
If your home already has a natural gas utility connection, running a generator off that same line usually means no fuel tank to buy, monitor, or refill.
A natural gas generator taps into your existing gas utility line (or requires a new line run from the meter), sized to the generator's BTU demand, rather than relying on a stored fuel supply like propane.
Natural gas isn't an option if utility gas service isn't available at the property — propane is the fallback in that case.
